Cook the world from home.

The world’s food, cooked and tested in one kitchen.

I’m Laura. I cook dishes from Naples to northern Thailand — really cook them, more than once, until they work — from my kitchen here in Colombia. The recipes are what I make and photograph myself; the stories are what I’ve learned about where these dishes come from. I haven’t been everywhere they’re from, and I won’t pretend I have.

A small, deliberately slow stream — I’d rather post one recipe I’ve made five times than ten I’ve made zero.

How I make what you read

I use writing tools, including AI, to help with first drafts and research — the way a kitchen uses a food processor. But a tool doesn’t get the byline, and a tool can’t taste anything. Every recipe here is one I’ve actually cooked, usually several times, and the photos are of the food I made. When I write about where a dish comes from, it’s researched honestly — and if I haven’t been somewhere, I say so. If I haven’t done it myself, it isn’t here.
